In Your name, Jesus Christ. In the presence of Your precious Holy Spirit, whom You left us to receive in our due time. Thank you for not leaving us comfortless.

Sometimes it can take thirty-five years of discomfort—always having a fear of death, of loneliness, always having the gut-wrenching pain that was only quenched when I finally hit the bull’s-eye. There, Jesus Christ’s Holy Spirit infused me with the Holy Spirit and my “In Presence of Spirit.” August 23, 2010.

Affirmation

I am never left comfortless. Though the season of discomfort may be long, I trust in God’s perfect timing. Right now, I am fully infused with the Holy Spirit, my fears are cast out, and I rest completely in the peaceful presence of my Savior.

Reflection

Received on August 23, 2010, this striking piece exposes the reality of the spiritual wilderness. It reminds us that our “due time” doesn’t always happen overnight; sometimes, it follows decades of deep emotional pain and isolating fear. But God’s promises remain absolute. When we finally hit the spiritual bull’s-eye by surrendering fully to Christ, the Holy Spirit moves in to completely saturate and infuse our broken spaces. The discomfort ends, the fear of death vanishes, and we are dynamically made whole “In Presence of Spirit.”
